Rifle…It’s Not Just For Climbing Anymore

People often ask me what’s my favorite climbing area. Usually no one believes me when I say Rifle. I’m not sure why? Well, obviously, it’s not the place I climb my hardest. But the fact is, it’s my favorite climbing area, and has been for years.

Wingsuit Roadtrip

Those of you who’ve been reading this blog for a while will remember that my big brother Virgil was a big reason for me to start skydiving. So you might be wondering……how come we never hear anything about jumping with Virgil nowadays?

Friends From the Castle

Hi Steph,
It was so awesome meeting you on top of Castleton! And even cooler knowing that you soloed it a week later! You are truly an inspiration-not only as a climber but also as a compassionate and fun person. I attached some pictures of you and Mario on Castleton. Have a great summer!

BASEline

Ever since the NY Times reporter (a very nice writer named Jere) came to visit last week, with Pete Mortimer and Nick Rosen (Senders Film makers extraordinaire), people seem very interested in Dean’s new BASEline project.

The Wild Backyard

I’ve been wanting to jump the Mineral Bottoms area–famous for the Meri’s Gash jump. The cliffs are about 400 feet tall, like most things in Moab, but since they sit on a high talus slope, you get to fly your canopy a little longer, like at Castleton.
