Jabra Rox Wireless Earphones

Jabra sent me these Rox wireless earphones to test drive and review, and I’ve been using them for several months now (I don’t like to rush into opinions about my gadgetry). These get an unequivocal thumbs up: I only wish my ishuffle was bluetooth compatible, but that’s an Apple complaint, not a Jabra one.

I love these earphones because they are small, simple and very nicely built, and they also have great sound. There’s a tiny little magnetized cover on one of them that flips up when you need to plug it in to recharge: very fancy and clever 🙂 The earbuds themselves are magnetized, and when you stick them together they know to sleep and stop connecting to your phone. I often have bluetooth connection lags or issues with speakers, but the Rox always connect immediately with no hassles. They seem to go up very loud: I always have them on the lowest possible setting and my iphone is also on the lowest possible setting, and I still wish I could take it down just a little lower sometimes. But perhaps this is because I live in one of the quietest places on the planet.

I use these earphones while hiking and I’ve also used them as a phone headset. I’ve gotten a couple of complaints about sounding far away when talking on the phone, but I’ve never had a headset that sounds as good to the listener as holding the phone to my head. The sound is fine on my end, so I keep using them 😉

Overall this is a very nifty little gadget and I’m a fan!

Hey Steph, I too can’t get the volume low enough… have you found a way to reduce the sound level? Cheers

I have my phone volume on the very lowest, and it seems good for me–I also wish it could go just a little lower sometimes!
